The Serie A Women which is also called the Serie A Femminile TIM due to sponsorship by TIM, is an annual football league which was founded in 1968. The league has been run by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) since the 2018-19 season. The Serie A Women is contested by ten clubs and it operates on a system of promotion and relegation at the end of every season.
