THE FIFA MEN’S WORLD CUP TITLE WINNERS FROM 1930

The FIFA World Cup is one of the biggest football games in the world and it consists of qualified nations across the globe. The game is held every four years in any country decided by FIFA. It started in the year 1930 in Uruguay. The winning country is awarded with a golden cup which is the biggest cup in the whole world. Below is the list of countries that won the Cup from 1930.

1930 FIFA WORLD CUP 

The 1930 World Cup was the first edition of the tournament and it was held in Uruguay. The final game was played between Uruguay and Argentina. Uruguay beat Argentina 4-2 to win their first World Cup title. Uruguay became the first country to host the FIFA World Cup and win. 

1934 FIFA WORLD CUP 

The 1934 FIFA World Cup was the second edition of the tournament and it was hosted in Rome. Italy and Czechoslovakia made it to the finals of the tournament which Italy beat Czechoslovakia 2-1 to take their first FIFA World Cup title.  

1938 FIFA WORLD CUP

The 1938 FIFA World Cup was the third edition of the tournament and it was held in France. The final game was played by Italy and Hungary which Italy won with 4-2 against Hungary to take their second FIFA World Cup title. Italy became the first country to take two cups in a row. 

1950 FIFA WORLD CUP 

The 1950 FIFA World Cup was the fourth edition of the tournament and it was hosted in Brazil. Brazil and Uruguay made it to the final stage which Uruguay beat Brazil 2-1 to take their second FIFA World Cup title. 

1954 FIFA WORLD CUP 

The 1954 FIFA World Cup was the fifth edition of the tournament and it was hosted in Switzerland. The final game was played between West Germany and Hungary which West Germany won 3-2 against Hungary to claim their first FIFA World Cup title. 

1958 FIFA WORLD CUP 

The 1958 FIFA World Cup was the sixth edition of the tournament and it was hosted in Sweden. Brazil and the host nation, Sweden, made it to the finals which Brazil beat Sweden 5-2 to take their first FIFA World Cup title. 

 1962 FIFA WORLD CUP  

The 1962 FIFA World Cup was the seventh edition of the tournament and it was hosted in Chile. The final match was held between Brazil and Czechoslovakia which Brazil beat Czechoslovakia 3-1 to take their second FIFA World Cup title. Brazil became the second nation to take two titles in a row. 

1966 FIFA WORLD CUP 

The 1966 FIFA World Cup was the eighth edition of the tournament and it was hosted in London. England and West Germany made it to the final stage of the game which England defeated West Germany 4-2 to claim the FIFA World Cup title for the first time. 

1970 FIFA WORLD CUP 

The 1970 FIFA World Cup was the ninth edition of the tournament and it was hosted in Mexico City. The final game was played between Brazil and Italy which Brazil won Italy with 4-1 to claim their third FIFA World Cup title. 

1974 FIFA WORLD CUP 

The 1974 FIFA World Cup was the tenth edition of the tournament and it was held in Munich. West Germany and Netherlands made it to the final stage of the game. West Germany defeated Netherlands 2-1 to take their second title. 

1978 FIFA WORLD CUP 

The 1978 FIFA World Cup was the eleventh edition of the tournament and it was hosted in Argentina. The host nation, Argentina defeated Netherlands 3-1 in the finals to take their first FIFA World Cup title. They became the second country to host the tournament and win. 

1982 FIFA WORLD CUP 

The 1982 World Cup was the twelfth edition of the tournament and it was held in Madrid. The final game was between Italy and West Germany which Italy won with 3-1 against West Germany to claim their third FIFA World Cup title. 

1986 FIFA WORLD CUP 

The 1986 FIFA World Cup was the thirteenth edition of the tournament and it was hosted in Mexico City for the second time. Argentina and West Germany made it to the finals which Argentina defeated West Germany 3-2 to win their second FIFA World Cup title. 

1990 FIFA WORLD CUP 

The 1990 FIFA World Cup was the fourteenth edition of the tournament and it was hosted in Rome. West Germany and Argentina once again made it to the final game which West Germany defeated Argentina 1-0 after being defeated in the last four years. This was the third FIFA World Cup title for West Germany. 

1994 FIFA WORLD CUP 

The 1994 FIFA World Cup was the fifteenth edition of the tournament and it was hosted California. Brazil and Italy made it to the final stage which Brazil defeated Italy 3-2 in penalty shootout to win their fourth FIFA World Cup title. 

1998 FIFA WORLD CUP 

The 1998 FIFA World Cup was the sixteenth edition of the tournament and it was hosted in France. Brazil and the host nation, France, made it to the finals which France beat Brazil 3-0 to win their first FIFA World Cup title.  

2002 FIFA WORLD CUP 

The 2002 FIFA World Cup was the seventeenth edition of the tournament and it was hosted in Japan. Brazil and West Germany once again made it to the final stage of the game. Brazil defeated West Germany 2-0 for the second time to take their fifth FIFA World Cup title. 

2006 FIFA WORLD CUP 

The 2006 FIFA World Cup was the eighteenth edition of the tournament and it was hosted in Germany. The final game was held between Italy and France which Italy defeated France 5-3 in penalty shootout to claim their fourth FIFA World Cup title. 

2010 FIFA WORLD CUP 

The 2010 FIFA World Cup was the nineteenth edition of the tournament and it was hosted in South Africa. South Africa became the first African country to host the World Cup tournament. The final game was played by Spain and Netherlands which Spain won 1-0 to claim their first FIFA World Cup title. 

2014 FIFA WORLD CUP  

The 2014 FIFA World Cup was the twentieth edition of the tournament and it was hosted in Brazil for the second time. Argentina and West Germany made it to the final stage of the game which West Germany defeated Argentina 1-0 to win their fourth FIFA World Cup title.

2018 FIFA WORLD CUP 

The 2018 FIFA World Cup was the twenty-first edition of the tournament and it was held in Russia for the first time. The final game was held between France and Croatia which France defeated Croatia 2-1 to claim their second FIFA World Cup title. 

2022 FIFA WORLD CUP  

The 2022 FIFA World Cup was the twenty-second edition of the tournament and it was hosted in Qatar. Argentina and France made it to the final stage of the game which Argentina defeated France 4-2 in penalty shootout to claim their third FIFA World Cup title.
